The 1999 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Médecins Sans Frontières in recognition of the organization's pioneering humanitarian work on several continents. 

This video features excerpts of the Nobel lecture delivered by then MSF International Council president Dr. James Orbinski as well as photographs from key moments in our history. At a time when humanitarian aid is under attack and even criminalized, this video calls attention to our ongoing commitment to take action in response to humanitarian needs and speak out about what we witness.
