Médecins Sans Frontières in Huíla Province, Angola

Following three consecutive years of severe drought in Angola and soaring food prices, in 2021 UN agencies alerted that these issues could have an impact on child malnutrition, particularly in the southern provinces. In mid-2022, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) sent an assessment team to the southwestern province of Huíla to organize preventive support to communities facing this potential crisis.
