Media Centre

Information for Journalists

Bearing witness is core
to our mandate.

Bearing witness and speaking out about the humanitarian situation in the places where our medical teams work is core to MSF's mandate. The media is a powerful tool through which we can talk about the plight of the people we help and advocate for change.

Although MSF does not finance journalists (except in special circumstances), we always support journalists to access our various projects across Eastern Africa.

Field visits We facilitate media access to MSF projects across the region, where security conditions permit.
Interviews Spokespeople and medical staff available for comments and background briefing.
Media resources Images and b-rolls from our operations, cleared for editorial use.

Media Fellowship

Reporting from the frontline of care

The MSF Eastern Africa Media Fellowship brings journalists into the places where our medical teams work, supporting rigorous, humane reporting on the crises that rarely make the front page.
