Each week MSF’s mobile clinics travel to remote villages in Naga, Myanmar.
Due to challenging terrain, the journeys are never easy and some take up to eight hours. This is particularly difficult during rainy season – when the use of cars is impossible.
While local health authorities and other organisations have scaled up in recent years, accessing healthcare remains a major challenge for many people in Naga.
MSF’s mobile clinics visit 15 different villages in Lahe township, providing essential healthcare and referrals, and health education.
MSF’s goal is to make sure everyone has access to healthcare.
In 2018 MSF provided more than 8,400 medical consultations to people living in Naga.
